Paper Hand Towels

So what is a paper towel?

We all use them sometimes daily sometimes occasionally we visit public toilets. The paper hand towel is the most convenient and hygienic way to dry your hands. You only ever need to touch the towel you dry your hands on. You never need to touch the dispenser or a button like some electric hand dyers.

You never have to worry about whether the last user pulled the towel down like the blue cloth roller towels you sometimes see.

Some people thing that the paper hand towel is not eco-friendly  compared to the electric hand dryer. This is not always true. We sell a range of hand towels that are made from 100% recycled paper. Yes I hear you say and during the recycling process a lot of power is used so how can the towels be classed as being green?

Well we supply from a company called Metsa under the Katrin Brand. Metsa have a factory in Finland that produces the recycled pulp. Their factory actually produces more energy than it uses in the process thus creating free electricity. They use burn the ink extracted from the pre used paper to produce their own electricity.

Paper hand towels make great composting material as the fibre breaks down rreadily and the absorbency is good which helps keep the compost dry and the heat in.

So there are some of the facts on paper hand towels. The myths are what ever else you read or hear about you have been told!
